Return and Warranty Policy

RETURN SHIPMENTS: Before product is returned to PMI please contact Customer Service at  (954) 581-4468, to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Form. All the information on the RMA Form must be completely filled out in order to obtain an RMA number. The RMA Department hours are 9AM-4:30PM.

  • Please allow at least 24 hrs. for an RMA Number to be issued. RMA Numbers are valid for 15 days from the date of issuance.
  • RMA Number must be written on the outside of the shipping carton. Please use the RMA Form as a packing list and include it in the box with your return.
  • All customers are responsible for freight charges associated with the return of products as well as the proper packaging of the items to avoid product damage during shipping.
  • All serialized products are scanned and tracked. Any serial number not purchased from PMI will be RETURNED!

DOA/DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS: In accordance with the terms and limits of the manufacturer warranty, defective items may be replaced or factory repaired at the manufacturer’s discretion. Intel motherboards returned to PMI within 30 days of the original invoice date will be replaced immediately out of PMI stock. The defective board will be sent to Intel for repair. If the defective board is refused by Intel for any customer induced damage the customer will be charged for the replacement.

DAMAGED PRODUCTS: The Customer Service Team must be notified within 2 days of receipt of damaged product. Anytime thereafter, voids warranty! Any CPU that has cracks, missing pins, burnt pins, bent pins or chipped die will be REFUSED! Please inspect all orders/RMA’S properly. All product returned to the RMA Dept. that is received physically damaged due to improper packaging, handling or abuse voids manufacturer’s warranty and will be RETURNED! The customer shall be held responsible for motherboards which have customer induced damage.

  • Please return defective part(s) only. DO NOT send cables, drivers, manuals, etc, whereas they will not be returned to you with a replacement.
  • All product will be tested. Those found not to be defective and in working order up to manufacturer's specifications will be returned to the customer in the condition in which they were received. 
  • Any item(s) received that are out of warranty will be returned to the customer. 
  • Please remove all company stickers and markings from product before returning them to PMI. Any product returned with permanent markings will be returned to the customer -- unrepaired and unreplaced. 
  • The packing slip must coincide with package contents.

SHORT SHIPMENTS: If you do not receive all the items listed on the packing slip, please contact Customer Service within 2 days of receipt so the issue may be tracked and resolved.

CREDIT: No credit will be given except in a circumstance where PMI was at fault (sales error, shipping error) Products must be complete and in the same condition as received in order for credit to be considered. 

  • Please be aware that PMI does not recognize stock balancing or stock rotation. 
  • PMI will not extend full credit for orders cancelled or returned by our client’s customer. 
  • Credit will not be issued on any special ordered parts or drop shipments.

TURNAROUND TIME: The turnaround time depends on three factors: 

  1. Customer must provide proper documentation 
  2. Replacement is in stock
  3. Vendor/Manufacturer providing us with a quick turnaround

Substitutions of equal value and quality may be made in instances where an exact replacement cannot be done. Returns for replacement that are received within 30 days of the original invoice date are replaced immediately if stock is available. Any time thereafter a replacement is waited upon from vendor/manufacturer, and in some instances product may be substituted at the vendor/manufacturers discretion. For your convenience please return defective product direct to the manufacturer after 30 days.

REFUSALS: All refused orders are unnecessary overheads and will not be tolerated. 

WARRANTY: Warranties are offered based upon manufacture/vendor policies, and are subject to change at any given time. If in fact a warranty has been altered all customers will be notified. All warranties begin from date of purchase.

INTEL PRODUCT RETURNS: For boxed motherboards, boxed processors, networking and communications products, please call 866-655-6565, option#2, or 916-377-7000 to receive direct warranty support from Intel. Product specific warranty terms are posted on the Internet at http://support.intel.com. Returned products will be screened and tested, PMI and Intel reserve the right to refuse and return customer induced damage (CID) product freight collect at their discretion. End customers participating in certain Intel programs may receive access to enhanced warranty support privileges. For Intel tray product, please contact PMI customer service.

AMD CPU WARRANTY: 

ALL AMD RETAIL - 3 yrs. with AMD
All others - 90 days

  • All Tray AMD product will be tested. Those found not to be defective and in working order up to manufacturer's specifications will be returned to the customer in the condition in which it was received.
  • Absolutely no cross-ships for AMD product.
  • Any AMD product received with chipped, burnt or cracked die will be refused and the warranty voided.

WD HDD - IDE/SCSI - 1 yr., 1-3 yrs. with WD
